About us
Klong is a music and sound collective in London, formed by Tim Clay and James Rapson in 2018.
We have created original music and sound design for brands including Nike, Asics, CP Company, BMW, Kia, Sonos and Aston Martin, for media companies including BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Sky, Netflix and Tortoise Media, and for people including Turner Prize winner Mark Leckey, Norwegian singer Aurora, award winning performer Xnthony, and fashion designer Simone Rocha.
Alongside our work as Klong we have various personal projects: releasing music that has gained airplay on BBC Radio 1 and 6 Music, scoring artworks and films that have been shown at Festival de Cannes, Tate Britain, Tate Modern, Barbican Centre, Berlin Film Festival and many others. We're also monthly residents on NTS Radio.
Recent film and theatre highlights include;
Score for short film ‘Scale’ by Joseph Pierce, funded by BFI, CNC and Arte, which premiered at Cannes 2022 as part of International Critics week and was shortlisted for Best British Short at BIFA 2022.
Music production and sound design for theatre production 'Oliver Cromwell Is Really Very Sorry', nominated for Best Soundscape at the Irish Theatre Awards 2023.
